This is a Stunning Vintage Triumph Gabriele 35 portable typewriter with original case, made in Western Germany circa 1969.
A Fantastic design, so reminiscent of the era, by this renowned Nuremberg, West German maker of motorbikes and typewriters!
Sturdy construction in metal and moulded plastic, in light grey, cream and navy blue, very Bauhaus / Modernist influenced, with a nod to the Space Age designs of the time!
There is a clever mechanism for locking the typewriter into the case, which itself locks up like a briefcase.
Would look great on any retro, vintage, 60’s, 70’s, mid century, space age, modernist or contemporary desk.
The typewriter measures 37 x 35 x 14cm / 14.5 x 14 x 5.5in.
The case measures 41 x 40 x 15cm / 16 x 15.75 x 6in.
